Tangerine Instant Probiotic Ice Cream
Tangerines make a great instant ice cream that is loaded with vitamin C. The tangerine fruit is also an excellent source of fiber and vitamin B as well as vitamins B1, B2, and B6. Citrus fruits like tangerines are very beneficial to the immune system as well as adrenal glands, the lens of the eye, the reproductive system, and many connective tissues. Servings: 2 servings
Peel the tangerines and separate them into pieces. Place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze overnight.
Place the frozen tangerines along with the kefir or yogurt in a food processor and pulse until it starts to get creamy. Open the processor and scrape down the sides if the fruit gets stuck.
Scoop out ice cream and serve immediately, or place in a bowl in the freezer to firm up for 30 minutes.
