Everybody Needs Lots of Bifido
Bifidobacterium is a genus of beneficial bacteria that reside primarily in the intestines. Bifidobacteria play a crucial role in maintaining a healthy gut and overall well-being and keep your immune system strong. I am hearing more and more that many people have diminished bifidobacteria. If you don't have enough bifidobacteria, your immune system struggles, and you can wind up with autoimmune diseases, food allergies, histamine problems, and more.
Here are some of the things that bifidobacteria can do.

Bifidobacteria are essential for a healthy digestive system. They help break down dietary fiber into short-chain fatty acids which nourish the cells lining the gut. This process aids in regular bowel movements and prevents constipation.

How to get More Bifidobacteria
HMO's
Human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs) are specific carbohydrates and essentially super prebiotics occurring naturally in mother's milk. Consuming HMOs is one of the best ways to make more bifidobacteria. And no, you're not drinking human milk, but rather a prebiotic (specifically made by a process of fermentation) that creates more bifidobacteria.
HMOs help improve the immune system by stimulating innate immune system responses, inhibiting pathogens like E. coli, and reducing inflammation. Bifidobacterium longum subspecies infantis (B. infantis) also boosts the production of proteins that close gaps between gut cells to keep microbes out of the bloodstream and increase anti-inflammatory molecules that boost the immune system. To achieve those beneficial results, B. infantis has to feed on HMOs. [9,10,11]
