Sprouted Nut Candy

This is my new favorite obsession. These take no time to make and they are a wonderful candy-tasting treat that is actually good for you. This recipe uses dates and also uses chocolate that is sweetened with dates. This makes it a much better alternative than chocolate chips made with sugar. Fiber is one of my favorite things about dates. Getting enough fiber is important because it feeds your microbes which will in turn create greater wellness for you. With almost 7 grams of fiber in a 3.5-ounce serving and 2 grams in 1 teaspoon of date sugar, including dates in your diet is a great way to increase your fiber intake.
I love using the nuts, and nut butter from Philosopher Foods. They actually use our Cutting Edge Cultures Vegetable Starter to sprout and ferment their nuts. They are actually the first fermented and dehydrated almonds on the market and boy do they taste good! Sprouting makes the almonds sweeter, more digestible, and nutritious. Research shows that sprouting increases the polyphenol content of the almonds, boosting antioxidant activity. I highly suggest checking them out. They're showing up everywhere. I used the nut butter and almonds in this recipe. Check the links below in ingredients.
